Caption:
Titchwell Marsh RSPB reserve. Norfolk, England. One of a pair of Covenanter (A13 Mark III / Cruiser Mark V - built 1941-1943) tanks, half-buried in the beach. The reserve was formerly a tank training area, during the Second World War, and at least one of these 2 tanks appears to have been used for target practice. Due to the volatile nature of the coastline, their appearance is somewhat ephemeral. May 2008.
